In order to further investigate the pathogenesis of MAFLD explore effective treatment methods and prevention strategies it is necessary to establish stable and reliable animal models. As a model organism adult zebrafish has the advantages of high homology with human genes and similar physiological structures making it an ideal choice for establishing MAFLD models. Therefore we constructed a zebrafish MAFLD model using high fat and high cholesterol diets 4% and 20% respectively and used RNA seq to reveal the transcriptional differences between this model and the liver of zebrafish fed a normal diet.
